We are currently seeking an experience **QA Technician** to join our day to day operations. Recent graduates of the Nutrition, Food, and Animal sciences are encouraged to apply.

**Qualifications**:
- University Bachelor Degree in Nutrition and Food science or Animal Science or related Sciences
- 1-2 years' experience in food science, microbiology, or equivalent is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft (word, excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, instruct, and lead Food Safe/HACCP/GMP related tool box meetings.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the QA lab security, inventory, housekeeping, and all testing performed therein.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP, SQF, and GFCP programs.
- Participate in conducting internal audits.
- Schedule and coordination of sample pick up and release from 3rd party laboratories.
- Monitor and verify internal pest control program.
- Manage chemical inventory and perform chemical concentration testing.
- Release finished products according to the Positive Release Program requirements.
- Assist in on-boarding of new staff by orientating employees on GMP's, Gluten Awareness Training, Food Safety etc.
- Participate in AM department set up and perform aerobic sampling before production begins.
- Perform shelf-life validation & monitoring studies, sensory evaluation, and colour analysis of finished product.
- Performs ATP swabbing for sanitation effectiveness during allergen & species change over.
- Conduct post production quality checks to verify proper carton size, package integrity, boxed parameters (seal, label placement, legibility, best before dates).
- Perform bacterial testing (environmental listeria), nitrite concentration (permissible sodium nitrates).
- Address all employee related food safety, or quality control issues with cross shift and management team.
- Compile daily inventory of all products and forward to Supply Chain team.
- Assist other QA technicians as needed.
