**Quality Assurance Technician**

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Plant 1 Manufacturing team.

The QA Tech is responsible for auditing of raw material and finished product to ensure quality and performance comply with established product standards.

**Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QA Tech responsibilities will include**:
Verify that raw materials and finished products meet product quality standards
- Check dimensions of finished products against engineering drawings and work traveler specifications
- Audit production lines to ensure quality standards are in compliance with product specifications throughout the manufacturing process

Report on non-conformances for defective raw/supplied materials
- Report on non-conformances for defective raw/supplied materials
- Complete and provide non-conformance report and a sample of defective raw material to internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete Inspection and Test Plan
- Perform air and water chamber testing on random finished product samples
- Assess defective product returns from customers
- Determine root causes of defects, typically with cross-functional input
- Determine warranty claim disposition
- Write and submit a detailed report on warranty claim findings to the RMA requestor
- Troubleshoot quality issues, investigate root cause and propose corrective & preventive actions

Complete Quality Risk Summary Reports for all Production Lines
- Conduct process line audits; Review findings with supervisors and operators
- Train operators on critical inspection processes
- Develop quality defect reports (as required)
- Conduct on-site inspections (as required)

Assist in the training of new & current QC Technicians. Assist QC Technicians in other daily duties as follows:

- Quality Risk Summary Reports (Plants 1 & 3 when applicable)
- Line audits (Plants 1 & 3 when applicable)
- Inspection Sampling Plans
- First article inspections
- Air tightness & water chamber test s
- Risk assessments
- Measurement tool & gauge calibration
- Root cause analysis
- Training in hand tool usage
- Statistical analysis
- Document control
- Control of quality records
- Product verification and validation
- Product identification & traceability
- Product preservation
- Internal and external audits
- Containment of nonconforming products
- Corrective & preventive actions

**Qualifications include**:

- High School Diploma
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma is considered an asset
- Manufacturing/ production experience in large scale multi-cultural manufacturing environment
- Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong math skills
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
- Able to accurately use precision metrology measurement equipment
- Good time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to use and interpret metric and imperial measurement systems
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to understand value added process improvements
