**Role Summary**

This role supports ERP operations and automation efforts, with a focus on scripting, troubleshooting, and process integration. The specialist will help maintain and enhance our use of Genius ERP, support daily production tasks, and contribute to ongoing projects such as ERP migration, inventory tracking, and automation initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Write and maintain **Python** and **VBA** scripts for routing, file handling, and automation.
- Support daily ERP tasks: routing creation, traveler generation, barcode placement. Add and manage new employees and machines in Genius ERP.
- Troubleshoot and correct time scanning errors and punch issues.
- Assist in ERP **version migration** and setup of raw material inventory tracking.
- Coordinate with external automation suppliers (e.g., robotic sanding project).
- Act as first-line support for scanning stations, ERP errors, and production system issues.
- Establish and maintain systems and procedures for bidding.
- Prepare statements and projections of costs and expenses for the duration of the project.
- Participate in the development of new programs, ensuring quality and continuity of the project.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong proficiency in **Python** and **VBA (Excel macros)**.
- Advanced **Excel** skills, including automation and file-based workflows.
- Working knowledge of **SQL** and shared **network/server environments**.
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently.
- Comfortable operating within a **manufacturing plant environment**.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with **Genius ERP** or similar ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with **production routing**, barcodes, and time scanning systems.
- Prior work with **automation vendors** or robotic integration projects.
- Knowledge of **Git** or version control (nice to have).
- Background in IT or information systems (e.g., basic understanding of networks, server structures, user permissions) is a plus but not required.
