**Cake Decorator & Baker**

**Must be already residing in Toronto**

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation and baking of various cake recipes and pastry items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the production of cake batters, fillings, frostings, and other necessary components.
- Participate in the assembly, filling, and icing of cakes while maintaining quality and consistency in decoration.
- Learn and execute various cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and sculpting.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times to ensure the highest quality and safety standards.
- Assist senior bakers and decorators as needed in daily bakery operations.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a bakery or culinary environment is required. Fresh graduates from culinary programs are encouraged to apply.
- Passion for baking and cake decorating with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
- Basic knowledge of baking ingredients, techniques, and equipment.
- Creative flair and attention to detail with the ability to produce visually appealing cake designs.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Thorough and detail‐oriented with reports and communication with team and superiors
- Ability to scale recipes to small or large quantities
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
