The North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services (NSM SGS) Program is a regional program under the leadership of Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. The NSM SGS program was established in 2016 to advance the care of frail older adults in the NSM region and their caregivers. With a mandate for leadership, clinical service, education and mentorship, research and ethics as well as advocacy, the program collaborates with a broad variety of partners from within and outside the NSM health system to improve patient outcomes, build capacity and foster system change.

The Clinical Manager/Clinical Nurse Specialist of the North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services (NSM SGS) Program is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to work the equivalent of 0.5 FTE. This position will provide administrative support in the planning, implementation and evaluation of education events offered by the NSM SGS program.

**Please note: This position is located in Barrie and some travel in the NSM region will be required. **This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work.**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Collaborating with other team members to support the planning, implementation and evaluation of education events inclusive of but not limited to:

- Marketing events
- Creating Eventbrite event sessions and managing registrations
- Organizing and facilitating venue and catering for events
- Preparing event flyers, education materials and supporting distribution
- Arranging tuition, accommodation, etc. for members of the NSM SGS program team
- Facilitating processes to manage mandatory education requirements of NSM SGS program team
- Facilitating processes to manage capacity building events
- Facilitating on-boarding educational requirements for NSM SGS staff
- Implementing a learning management system
- Supporting the budget process by data gathering, data entry, invoicing, etc.
- specific software.

**Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in an office administrative program preferred
- Minimum of three years of recent and related administrative experience in a fast paced office environment
- Experience supporting educational/training events, learning management systems and capacity building processes preferred
- Experience with budgetary practices and process
- Proven advanced level computer software experience including proficiency in Microsoft suite of products and database software
- OTN and zoom experience preferred
- Experience working with and maintaining confidential information
- Proven ability to take and process minutes of assigned committees/meetings and associated responsibilities
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Demonstrated analytical, mathematical, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values, and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills
