**Your opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director, Recruitment & Admissions, the Recruitment & Admissions Coordinator is responsible for implementing annual and multi-year strategic recruitment plans for OISE, ensuring the Faculty has an innovative, cost effective and strategic approach to recruitment. The incumbent will assist in the recruiting, admissions and retention of students with a focus on equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and will participate in the development and execution of strategies related to the success of all students inOISE. All strategies will be informed by best practices, student feedback as well as analysis of surveys and other assessment tools that obtain feedback from diverse students to optimize student performance and retention within the Faculty.
Theincumbent will be responsible for improving, monitoring and promoting Indigenous, racialized, Black, immigrant and international student success within OISE as this success is predicated on effective recruitment and admissions. They will be responsible for presentations and seminar facilitation on recruitment and admissions especially created for diverse students. There will be a strong emphasis on assisting in the planning and delivery of diverse student recruitment activities and admissions practices, where the incumbent will advise the student coordinators, staff and leaders to ensure that OISE provides recruitment, admissions, promotional materials and outreach that is safe, inclusive and welcoming.
This position will be responsible for identifying and organizing recruiting and networking events to reshape the Indigenous, racialized, Black, immigrant and international student population at OISE and ensures all positions dealing with students have appropriate training to recognize students indistress and provide appropriate referrals.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies
- Delivering student recruitment presentations
- Promoting programs at recruitment events
- Interpreting academic regulations, program and degree requirements
- Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures
- Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
- Providing basic support and general referrals to individuals in distress
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience in a university graduate student services environment.
- Experience advising and presenting to small and large diverse prospective student groups on graduate admission requirements
- Experience working with under-represented groups and equity initiatives with a strong understanding of issues and challenges facing these groups
- Experience with data collection, analysis and generating reports.
- Excellent communication, public speaking and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in ROSI, Slate and Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure within a rapidly changing environment to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding advising and student services with a proven record of tact, diplomacy and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to travel independently, valid driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle.
