**Position**: IT Support Specialist

**Location**: Oakville, ON (Winston Churchill & QEW)

**Description**:
The Indeka Group is a leader in the distribution of footwear in Canada. Brands include Nine West, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Dockers, Earth Shoes, JB Goodhue, Santana Canada, Aquatherm Canada, just to name a few. Countries of import include the Far East, Europe, and USA.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical support for computers, printers, cellphones, and similar devices
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware (laptops, desktops, servers) and printers
- Install and configure computer software and upgrades
- Develop manuals, procedures, and documentation
- Maintain users and departments access to network drives
- Create and maintain IT asset database including but not limited to servers (physical and virtual using Hyper-V), UPS units, switches and Cisco AP.
- Open and maintain support tickets for devices like servers and MFP printers
- Diagnose and recommend solutions for hardware and software problems
- Manage software licensing compliance and required upgrades and maintenance programs
- Check and Log daily backups (local and cloud) report any issues and troubleshoot
- Order supplies (computers and computer parts, printers, paper, labels, toner)
- Assist with mobile conference equipment and setup zoom video calls for meetings with multiple cameras and devices
- Troubleshoot computers and other hardware like laser printers, label printers, scales and peripherals
- Support users with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics (any NAV version) an asset
- Other duties as required

Qualifications, Experience & Education
- College/University diploma in Information Technology or computer-related program or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3 years’ experience as an IT Support Specialist
- Knowledge of networking technologies - local area network, TCP/IP
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10 and Windows Server
- Knowledge on how to build and configure various desktop PCs and laptops
- Ability to work independently, or with a team
- Must possess strong multitasking capabilities
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new software and hardware
- Motivated and eager to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency
- Strong knowledge of IT operations best practice
