**CNC Lathe Operator Job Description**
**Overview**
**Duties**
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce parts according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls to ensure accurate production.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Utilize power tools and other equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to implement Lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement in processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
**Experience**
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, particularly using Fanuc controls.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing practices is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using power tools and understanding of welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of machining processes and fabrication techniques.
