**Position Name**:
Machinist - Vertical Lathe

**Job Type**:
Full Time - 40 Hours per week

**Rate**: Competitive and based on experience directly related to items listed in this job posting

**Shift**: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

**Qualifications**:

- Understanding of standard practices, materials, tools and methods of the Machinist’s trade with an ability to use all types of measuring tools and maintain calibrations
- Ability to perform set-ups
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team from blueprints
- Ability to work with close tolerances
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

**Required Skills**:

- Must have strong capabilities on lathes and an understanding of CNC - both horizontal and vertical - 5+ years
- Must be able to work with Fanuc controls
- Must possess strong communication skills, positive attitude and a strong sense of their true abilities
- Must have a strong sense for trouble shooting and working independently to follow our system

**Required Experience/Education**:

- Machinist - Journeyperson
- Understand and read English
- Basic Computer

**Additional Information**:

- Fast pace shop
- Overtime required when necessary
- Frequent exposure to noise, heat, dust
- Physical tasks include walking, grasping, carrying, lifting
