**Summary**:
DMC is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Sudbury office. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the company’s talent strategy and processes. A person in this position will be responsible for supporting the hiring for operations in the minerals industry. You are agile, strong communicator and understand the unique needs of the mining industry. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work from home and/or the office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assis with the development of best-in-class talent acquisition strategy and processes to ensure all new talent meets the technical skills.
- Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position and meet competitive hiring goals and expectations.
- Drive resourcing initiatives through the use of direct recruitment, social media strategies, referrals, networking events, local schools, tradeshows, and other local recruitment efforts.
- Meet recruitment metrics to guarantee successful coverage of all open positions.
- Update and maintain a database of standard job descriptions and job postings.
- Escalate appropriately issues of risk related to background checks for review and decision.
- Other related duties as may be assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years’ experience in high-volume recruitment is a requirement - agency experience is an asset.
- Experience filling construction, mining and/or engineering positions is essential.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, database management, and internet search.
- Familiarity with job boards.
- Proven experience conducting various types of interviews (i.e., phone, video, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management (or related discipline).
- Experience developing recruitment strategy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
