**About Canucks Autism Network**

Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, while promoting acceptance and inclusion through community engagement and training initiatives across BC. Our vision is for every individual on the autism spectrum to be understood, accepted, and supported in all community spaces.

We engage a workforce of over 200 volunteers and 450 frontline staff to deliver programs for children, youth, and adults on the spectrum in communities across British Columbia. CAN currently supports 7,675 members on the autism spectrum.

**The Opportunity**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working alongside Registration and Membership Manager to create registration timelines and communicate timelines and procedures to membership.
- Entry of all program and event details in the registration system (and/or other systems ie. Eventbrite).
- Coordinate registration and enrollment decisions process for an assigned basket of programs and/or events, communicating program enrollment status with all members.
- Communicate program updates and changes to members and collect additional participant information for unique program needs as required.
- Manage up to date and accurate program and participant data in the systems, ensuring confidentially of all personal information.
- Work with internal departments to stay on top of changes in program and events details, updating the registration system and members as required.
- Compile information and prepare reports on membership and program registration trends.
- Gather member feedback via surveys, comments, complaints and suggestions sharing relevant information with Programming and HR teams to improve existing offerings.
- Engage with families and participants to understand their unique needs and preferences for the purpose of increasing participation in programs and initiatives.
- Provide support to participants interested in completing the online membership and registration activities, following up with all new members regarding the status of their account.
- Prepare and provide Marketing & Communications with content for membership materials such as the quarterly program guide, website updates, brochures, monthly e-newsletters, social media posts, print materials, etc.

**Job Requirements & Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education is an asset
- A min of 2 years’ experience in a professional office environment working in customer service/relations role
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills
- Strong customer service skills including empathy and patience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment with high volumes of work
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on time and at a high quality
- Strong judgment and problem-solving ability
- Ability to identify process improvements and challenge the status quo appropriately
- Have a “CAN-do” attitude and a great sense of humour
- Must work well in a team environment, yet able to work and problem solve independently
- Experience working with individuals with autism or some knowledge of autism is desirable
- Fast learner and keen to learn and grow in the organization
- Ability to handle difficult conversations
- Comfortable working some evenings and weekends to attending onsite programs and events
