**Job Description**:

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Clinical Networks - Quality and Clinical Networks, the Regional Manager provides leadership and demonstrates collaboration to plan, develop, implement, monitor, evaluate and operationalize regional clinical service delivery optimization initiatives to meet the goals of the portfolio in the context of the broader system of care. The Regional Manager informs, leads and supports infrastructure to enable the work of the internal portfolio team members, as well, the work with partners. The Regional Manager works with Clinical Services, Corporate programs and Island Health leadership to achieve outcomes.

As a member of the portfolio leadership team, the Regional Manager is part of a coordinated effort to advance a Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) system of care that is evidence-driven, informed by applicable strategic priorities, aligned with evolving quality optimization and governance approaches, and embodies the organizational C.A.R.E. values.

Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island health in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
A Master's Degree in a related field and at least seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience including five (5) years in MHSU clinical service delivery or education, and three (3) years of leadership. Practicing registration in a clinical discipline is preferred but not required. Valid BC Driver's License. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

**Skills And Abilities**:

- Ability to model organizational values and principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing including authoring high level documents (e.g. SBAR, Briefing Notes, guidance documents) and presentation to a range of audiences including executive as well as direct service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, plan, and implement within the area of responsibility.
- Able to lead, direct and develop staff in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent relational practice skills with the ability to engage diverse partners, maximize consensus-based decision-making and collaboratively lead creative and innovative approaches to work.
- Ability to work independently, organizing workload and priorities, and to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to develop, monitor and maintain budgets including addressing issues.
- Functional knowledge of project methodology and change management or implementation science methodology.
- Completion of cultural safety and humility learning and willingness to continue engaging in learning on cultural safety, humility, racism, and other forms of oppression and harm in health care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with a range of technological supports and software (e.g. PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and SharePoint).
- Ability to develop and nurture an environment where quality improvement principles are embraced and used on a continuous basis.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
