Reports To: Senior Manager, Finance

Hours: M-F, 37.5 per week

**Job Purpose**:
The Accounts Payable Administrator will be assisting the Senior Manager of Finance and the accounting team by managing and carrying out all accounts payable Accounts Payable responsibilities and general accounting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software to maintain the integrity of financial records.

**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Complete all accounts payable functions for the organization.
- Process vendor invoices, including verifying, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
- Prepare A/P cheques and Electronic Fund Transfers.
- Reconcile all vendor statements and address vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile, match, and record all corporate credit cards and employee expenses.
- Communicate and resolve issues related to expenses and invoices.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Maintain the filing system, documents, records systems, and vendor and customer information.
- Train staff on invoice and expense submission through the Sage AP Automation system.
- Ensure continuous confidentiality within the role and handle all vendor and customer care professionally and courteously.
- Perform and support all day-to-day accounting functions in conjunction with the accounting team as assigned.

**Education, Experience & Skills**:

- Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related filed preferred.
- 2 - 4 Years experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of accounting and accounts payable platforms such as Sage 300, Sage APA, and Certify.
- Demonstrate a customer service approach while working with others both internally and externally.
- Great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Works with initiative, commitment, and enthusiasm.
- Able to communicate effectively with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- A highly developed sense of humor.
- Able to work in a stressful environment with tight deadlines.
