**Job Description**:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales in all Maritime Provinces such as New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales and Customer Service, he is responsible for the objectives, business plan, profitability and budget. He plays a strategic role in the sales and growth of the company and maintains our strategic position in the field of tires and accessories distribution.

**Responsibilities**

SALES OPERATIONS
- Develop a strategic plan to increase the growth by identifying opportunities and implement action plans for all markets of Maritimes throughout the network of tire distribution (merchants with an affiliated banner, dealerships, major accounts, independent garages) on an annual basis
- Forge strategic alliances and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Propose sales programs (pricing strategy) and ensure that programs lead to the achievement of gross margin targets
- Develop the product-related strategies (brand selection and positioning for each market).
- Establish strategic events for customers, by a cross-functional approach, with the marketing team
- Prepare and hold meetings with your team to share relevant information about the market, business opportunities and monitoring of objectives and results

PROJECTS
- Set performance indicators and work collaboratively with other departments such as IT and finance by a cross-functional approach
- Collaborate with the major accounts team to set up winning conditions that will help support partnership agreements
- Ensure continuous improvement of customer service by organizing post-mortem meetings with operations, customer service and credit after each peak period
- Develop and implement new efficient tools for management, performance analysis, sales development, customer satisfaction measurement and monitoring, optimize operational efficiency
- Participate in the national sales committee, prepare business reviews and forecast specific to his territory

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
- Collaborate in the planning, hiring, integration and ongoing training of the team in partnership with Human Resources
- Ensure the quality of the staff in place to manage all tasks without delay throughout the year and to maintain budget, work and performance objectives
- Authorize employee timesheets, manage absence requests and collaborate in disciplinary cases
- Support account managers in achieving their objectives and ensure the management of sales territories by coordinating the review of performance, establishing guidelines and approving incentive compensation plans
- Analyze results and gaps, and support account managers in formulating and implementing appropriate solutions

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of five to eight years of experience in managing a sales team
- University degree in marketing, business, management or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered)
- Strong business acumen geared toward sales growth and profitability
- Keen interest in coaching and developing a team until it achieves its full potential
- Strong ability to lead, manage, inspire and mobilize a sales team
- Ability to anticipate customers’ needs and deftly and efficiently resolve their issues
- Comfort with customer relationship management (CRM) software tools
- Planning, organizational and priority-setting skills that allow you to manage efficiently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French (asset)
- Proficiency in Office suite and with Excel spreadsheet
- Frequent travel (50% of the time)
