Job Description

METAL SHOP OPERATOR

Roofmart is a major Canadian distributor of residential, commercial Roofing and Siding products with over 50 locations across Canada.

Operating metal shaping machines, such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;
- Operating metal shaping machines, such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Fabricating Light Gauge Flashings
- Understanding and complying with required health and safety regulations
- Other duties as required

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Requires physical strength/stamina and the ability to work at heights.
- Fall Protection/Working at Heights training - an asset (can be provided)
- Valid Forklift License - an asset (training can be provided)
- Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
- Ability to assess a situation and recognize potential hazards
- Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience - Preferred
- Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset

WORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL;
- Authorized to work in Canada
