Job Overview

DDF Automotive is hiring an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy automotive service and installation shop. This role is ideal for a strong leader who can manage staff, maintain smooth workflow, and deliver an excellent customer experience.

The Shop Manager will be responsible for shop efficiency, team performance, customer satisfaction, and ensuring jobs are completed on time and to DDF Automotive's quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop operations, scheduling, and workflow
  • Manage technicians, installers, and front-desk staff
  • Coordinate vehicle drop-offs, job timelines, and deliveries
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and service follow-ups
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Use POS, booking, and shop management systems
  • Manage work orders, invoices, payroll, and cash handling
  • Assist with hiring, training, and performance management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Shop Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor
  • Automotive or service-based management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experience with scheduling, invoicing, and payroll
  • Comfortable using POS systems and digital tools
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Bilingual skills are an asset
