**CPosition Summary** The Community Engagement / Independent Living Supports Navigator plays a vital role in fostering inclusion and supporting independence for persons with disabilities. This dual-role position is responsible for identifying and promoting accessible community opportunities while also providing support to individuals engaged in the Independent Living Supports (ILS) program.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Community Engagement and Inclusion**
- Research and identify inclusive and accessible events, programs, and activities across the community that align with the interests and goals of persons with disabilities.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and service providers to advocate for and expand inclusive opportunities.
- Create and maintain a calendar of community-based events and activities, ensuring accessibility and relevance to ILNS participants.
- Encourage and support community participation by facilitating introductions, supporting attendance, and addressing potential barriers (e.g., transportation, communication needs).
- Promote awareness of inclusive practices and disability rights among community partners.

**2. Independent Living Supports Program Support**
- Provide assistance with the day-to-day delivery of the ILS program, including client support, documentation, and communication.
- Support individuals in setting and working toward personal goals related to independence, community living, and social participation.
- Assist in the coordination of services, resources, and supports based on individual needs and preferences.
- Document client interactions and provide regular updates to the ILS team.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold person-centered, trauma-informed, and inclusive practices.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$27.33 per hour
