**_WHAT YOU’LL DO: _**
- The Inpatient Clerk supports the patient care team and the patient experience on inpatient units. Responsibilities include: reception duties for calls and visits to the unit from internal staff, non-PRHC personnel; non-clinical patient assistance (responding to general inquiries, directing patients and visitors to the most appropriate clinical team member, providing assistance to obtain services); facilitation of communication (receiving mail, fax). _

**_WHAT YOU’LL BRING: _**
- _Successful completion of a Hospital Nursing Unit Secretary Certificate or an equivalent combination of education and work experience _

**_WHO YOU ARE: _**
- _Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations _
- _Demonstrated basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word _
- _Accurate keyboarding skills: 4500 keystrokes per hour _
- _Ability to type 35 words per minute _
- _Excellent communication skills _
- _Excellent interpersonal skills _
- _Excellent telephone manner _
- _Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a group as part of a team _
- _Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and complete work within set deadlines _
- _Excellent organizational skills and ability to reprioritize tasks _
