**HOURS OF WORK**:

**Type of Shifts**:Days, Evenings (4- and 8-hour shifts)

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
To communicate and coordinate unit functions leaving nursing staff free for patient care.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**:
Successful completion of a Ward Secretary/Medical Office Administration course or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment and manage multiple demands within specific time limits.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work. This requires ability to be flexible with work tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer skills and ability to work in an EMR and Windows program.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy in dealing with confidential issues.
- Demonstrated good attendance record.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
