**In this role, you will**:
analyze electricity, gas and water consumption data and work with building operation staff to assist in resolving abnormal utility use
track and benchmark the performance of buildings
support the development of resident education & engagement and health & wellness programs, as part of Minto’s ESG strategy
support the development of a long-term net zero carbon plan for the Minto portfolio
assist in identifying incentive opportunities and work with vendors to complete incentive documentation
work with other sustainability team members to perform building assessments and identify opportunities for energy, water and carbon savings
assist in creating specifications and business cases for energy, water and carbon saving projects, building improvements and equipment upgrades
assist in evaluating new technology and supporting pilot projects
gather and analyze utility data for internal and external reporting
work with Minto team to coordinate and track progress of Minto ESG strategy tasks
collaborate between different operating groups, and promote innovation and sustainability culture within Minto
participate in other sustainability related initiatives as may be required

**We would like you to have**:
College Diploma / University Degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Architecture, or Building Science
No previous professional experience is required, but a passion for sustainability is vital
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, teamwork and organizational skills
Ability to problem solve and multi-task, understand objectives and prioritize tasks accordingly
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with others for the purpose of conveying information, data exchange, clarification and follow up, able to simplify and communicate technical information
Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook

**Knowledge of the following is an asset**:
Energy Star Portfolio Manager, RETScreen
LEED, Fitwel, PassiveHouse certification systems
Ability to read and understand building drawings and specifications
