This student position is with our Downstream Refining Performance Reporting Team. In this role, the student will provide technical expertise and support by taking responsibility over team’s central database system, critical reports, and other additional assets.

What you’ll do- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the WRB central database system within Databricks environment.- Loading new files and troubleshooting issues within Databricks.- Developing, updating, and improving Power BI and Power BI Paginated reports.- Providing assistance with SQL queries and Excel PivotTable’s.- Maintaining and updating technical and user training documentation.

Who you are-
- Available to begin work in May 2025

The following experience/skills is considered an asset:
- Skilled in creating and managing databases Functional knowledge through coursework programming in languages Python, SQL, DAX.- Familiarity with VB.NET.- Experience working within Databricks platform, with a strong understanding of it’s functionality and workflow.- Functional knowledge through coursework in Power BI environment, including data modeling, transforming data in query editor, and dashboard development. In addition to Power BI, familiarity with Power Platform suite (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Spotfire.- A self-starter attitude, looking to contribute own ideas towards team improvement projects.

Education- Must be enrolled in a Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics or Information Technology Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term-
- New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
