Summer Student, Health and Safety Performance Reporting and Data Analytics

THE ROLE:

Our summer student program provides an opportunity to experience real-world challenges, collaborate with diverse teams, network with other students and create a vision for your future career path.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
- Assist the HSS team in developing a long-term strategy for Health & Safety reporting and data management
- Collect raw data from various data sources for analytics and reporting
- Produce effective reports and dashboards from diverse data sources
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in datasets
- Assist in cataloging health and safety incidents, inputting data into a database, and providing digital system support as necessary
- Participate in various projects as needed
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a Canadian post-secondary institution, and must be returning to undergraduate studies after the work term
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree (Commerce, Computer Science, or Data Analytics), Diploma or Technical Certificate (Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Environmental Science, or Information Technology)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel skills
- Experience with some Visualization Software Packages (PowerBI) is an asset
- The ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time and data management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
