**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure a therapeutic living environment for the youth and provide for the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programming based upon the youths' needs and interests and ensure that there are ample opportunities for youth to be active and challenged and to develop life skills and a sense of autonomy.
- Ensure treatment plans, client goals and individual crisis management plans are understood and carried out by program staff, communicating individual youth successes and challenges to the treatment team and working with them to problem solve and plan for the youth's continued treatment progress.
- Develop, foster, and promote a strong sense of teamwork within the program, focusing the team on organizational objectives, providing feedback on team and individual successes and problem solve to overcome team challenges.
- Provide for the direct supervision of the full and part-time Child and Youth Workers and placement students, providing these staff with direction, support, and feedback on their job performance. Administer performance appraisals with the assigned staff, using the process to coach, assess/improve employee engagement, and monitor/manage work priorities.

**Job Requirements**:

- A community college diploma or university degree in the Human Services fields of study.
- Emotional maturity and stability, patience, tact and resourcefulness, including the ability to set and maintain a tone of enthusiasm, optimism, cooperation, and collaboration in all aspects of the role.
- At least two years of leadership experience in a residential setting.
