**Residential Relief Worker**

**POSITION**
Residential Relief Worker
**LOCATION**
771 Montreal Street, Kingston, ON K7K 3J6
**STATUS**
Relief staff, required to work a minimum of 16 hours/ month
**SALARY**
$19.68 per hour for day/ evening shifts
$20.68 per hour for night shifts

**RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES**
- Ensure clients abide by rules of the residential facility, and adhere to any case plans or special instructions developed by the Case Management Team
- Document any violation of house rule, breach of release condition, or escalation in a client’s risk or need and disseminate to implicated client’s Case Management Team to ensure timely intervention
- Complete regular headcounts to confirm clients are alive and breathing in accordance with agency procedures
- Maintain all residential files (i.e. complete duty log, case notes, medication administration records, sign out sheets, etc.)
- Participate in formal debriefs with other members of the residential team at shift change, ensuring on-duty staff is briefed regarding pertinent client information and receives facility keys, alarm and cell phone
- Required to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and statutory holidays

**Qualifications**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- College diploma in a related field of study
- Work-related experience in corrections, residential housing programs, homelessness and mental health
- Experience with conflict resolution, motivational interviewing and counselling techniques
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite, databases and the internet
- Familiar with community resources and services
- A satisfactory criminal police check, valid Reliability Status Clearance considered an asset
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification required
