Scrum Master

**The Scrum Master is a hands-on position responsible for liaising between key stakeholders across the firm and technologists to exchange information in a concise and understandable way to promote development and delivery, operational stability, and quality process improvements, adhering to and implementing Agile principles on the assigned teams. The individual will be an agile practitioner and servant leader who will be responsible for representing the management to the product team and ensure that teams health is reported as per the agreed upon metrices.**:
**Responsibilities**:

- ** Working with already established agile teams (2-3) to manage their team events and ceremonies.**:

- ** Plan, implement and guide teams in the adoption of Agile software development practices (writing good user stories, release schedules and delivery planning, scrum meetings, velocity, and capacity planning)**:

- ** Should be adept in confluence & JIRA including creation of swim lanes and dashboard, running JQL queries and customizing filters, JIRA report extraction and bulk uploads etc.**:

- ** Motivate and encourage new team to adopt & practice agile & Scrum principles. Engage, inspire, and cultivate high performing team culture.**:

- ** Manage and interact with team members in different regions in person and virtually from different regions.**:

- ** Collaborate with various stakeholders like Product Owner, Lines of Business and QA team, Release management, Change Advisory Board and Project Management Office.**:

- ** As agile delivery lead, incumbent should ensure /remain accountable for efficient sprint planning including the efficient delivery of story points to target.**:

- ** Manage/coordinate actual deployments to ensure execution of development to Production as per release schedules including deployment plan walkthrough and resource identification & allocation for the deployment nights.**:

- ** As a scrum master ensure the team enacts the agile principles, values, and framework.**:

- ** Coach the “Development Team” and help lead and insure the “agile mindset” is fully adopted and understood.**:

- ** Inculcate core agile values of focus, commitment, respect, openness, and courage into the teams’ ground rules through leading by example.**:

- ** Assess and coach teams to high level of performance and tracking agile adoption metrices.**:

- ** Guide the development team on how to integrate agile ceremonies and values into daily work and evolve their Way of Working (WOW)**:

- ** Encourage an environment where an open communication and collaborative problem solving can pave the way for faster removal of any impediments, and where the impact of mistakes can be minimized through early detection, making them into learning opportunities.**:

- ** Facilitate agile ceremonies including but not limited to sprint planning, refinements, sprint review, retros, and daily standups.**:

- ** Create a forum for discussing vision, goals, and product backlog items amongst the team.**:

- ** Identify, manage, and help mitigate issues and risks, with particular emphasis on timely removal of impediments for the team and/or directing obstacles to appropriate owners for quick resolution.**:

- ** Facilitate discovering and enacting continuous improvement strategies to increase the productivity of the team and quality of deliverables including the Code Quality and app monitoring setup etc.**:

- ** Track agile metrices like burndowns, Cumulative Flow Diagrams, Control Charts, sprint reports, test reports etc. to provide statistical proof of momentum and sustainability.**:

- ** Compliance with Citibank policies and procedures for project delivery.**:

- ** Develop and nurture strong partnership with Product Owner/Business Users and other delivery partners.**:

- ** Work closely with Product Owner to gain strong understanding of objectives, sustain open Dialogue to manage product backlog efficiently.**:

- ** Influence a wide range of stakeholders (business, compliance, Legal, IT, etc.) to remove impediments and maximize team output.**:

- ** Support and educate the Product Owner on agile principles and practices to preserve the team from external pressure which may inhibit its productivity**:

- ** Partner with Agile coach and other agile teams to share findings, best practices, and resources to help mature the organizations agility.**:
**Qualifications**:

- ** 5-8** years of IT experience in Business Analysis or Development**:

- ** 2-5 years of Scrum Master experience in a recent project and initiative within a true agile environment.**:

- ** Experience coordinating and/or leading large cross-functional/cross-regional teams on major enterprise transformation projects, preferably in an agile work environment.**:

- ** Experience with JIRA and confluence, MS Office.**:

- ** Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with experience using Excel for data analysis.**:
