Site Safety Coordinator

**Responsibilities**
- Monitor day-to-day site safety conditions and ensure compliance with Nova Scotia OHS regulations
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks
- Maintain safety records, reports, and incident/near-miss documentation
- Support implementation of the company’s Health & Safety Policy
- Provide safety orientation and training to workers and subcontractors
- Assist supervisors with corrective actions and accident investigations
- Ensure proper use of PPE and fall protection equipment on site
- Communicate with management, clients, and regulatory agencies regarding safety issues
- Prepare and manage safety-related paperwork, including forms, reports, and documentation

**Requirements**:

- Completion of high school (required); post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety considered an asset
- Experience in accounting, engineering, marketing, or administrative tasks is an asset
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid/CPR)
- Knowledge of Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety Act and construction site regulations
- Strong communication and reporting skills (Chinese required)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in construction safety preferred (training available)
- Experience in accounting, engineering, marketing, or administrative tasks is an asset
- Proficient in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail for document control, filing, and report preparation

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
