Project Manager

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing team establishment, including stakeholder consultation, identification of necessary skills, and staffing decisions.
- Leading new Coast Mental Health facility development initiatives from initiation through to post-implementation review.
- Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders across the organization.
- Overseeing project resource planning, allocation, and management to achieve project goals.
- Guiding the project through its full life cycle, which includes planning, monitoring, control, and documentation.
- Mentoring, coaching, and supervising project team members and contractors to ensure accountability and effective delivery of tasks.
- Executing project plans according to project methodologies, coordinating project components, facilitating stakeholder consensus, and ensuring readiness for project implementation.
- Tracking project progress, monitoring and reporting on project status and potential issues, and making recommendations regarding project scope changes.
- Implementing effective processes to assess and monitor project risks, and identifying risk mitigation strategies.
- Participating in the development and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets within operational, environmental, and resource constraints.
- Maintaining ongoing support for project initiatives, keeping stakeholders updated on project status, and ensuring effective communication channels.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certification:
- Project management qualification or equivalent is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation and Change Management certification are assets.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 5 years of significant, recent, and relevant experience in project management within the healthcare sector.
- Experience in people, risk, and change management.
- Experience in strategic planning.
- Proficiency with project management software.
Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes:
- Thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management methodology and best practices, as defined by PMI.
- Proficiency in project management techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with change management techniques and tools.
