- As a Pay Duty Coordinator, you will coordinate the Pay Duty Program by providing off-duty officers as a resource to special events to safeguard public/officer safety and public/private property. Primary duties include:
- Receive and record all requests and provide written acceptance of requests, billing information and procedures to contracting authorities and the Calgary Police Service (CPS) Finance Section.
- Approve or deny repeat requests and determine policing requirements.
- Coordinate process by securing officers for assignment.
- Provide information to CPS and other City Business Units and external agencies.
- Provide input into developing and editing standard operating procedures, policy and pay duty contract formats.
- Record information for availability database.
**Qualifications**
- A 1 year certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 3 years related experience in scheduling and resourcing.
- Basic level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- An understanding of the Pay Duty Program is considered an asset.
- Previous experience working in a law enforcement environment is also an asset.
- Success in this position requires service orientation, stress tolerance, efficiency and thoroughness and team building and teamwork. An effective communicator with a focus on results and the ability to build strong relationships.
**Pre-employment Requirements**
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
