Operations/logistics Analyst

**Location**: Georgetown, Prince Edward Island

**Employment Type**: Full-Time Seasonal Position, hours reduced during non-production months.

**Compensation**: Starting at $20/hr - negotiable based on qualifications and experience

**JOB SUMMARY**

This job is a newly designed position for Seafood 2000 - we are looking for an energetic individual that will play an integral role in managing supply chain efficiency, while ensuring a consistent smooth coordination between clients/vendors, transportation partners and internal operations.

As the operation is seasonal, hours and responsibilities may vary throughout the year:

- **December to April** - onsite operations are paused for the off-season. Therefore, this time is essential for focusing on planning, purchasing, and strategic analysis.
- **April to July**- is peak production period, where plans are executed and all aspects of the operation must be closely managed for maximum efficiency.
- **August to December** - shipping operations continue. Ensuring packaging materials and supplies are well-stocked is key to maintaining efficient outbound logistics.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

A large part of this role revolves around planning in advance for the production seasons - from ordering/tracking packaging supplies, conducting cost and supplier analysis, to managing cold storage inventory.

**LOGISTICS**
- Coordinate shipping schedules and logistics documentation (including date coding, invoicing, etc.)
- Coordinate container shipments, track packaging inventory, prepare for client visits, and support logistics documentations.
- Perform inventory counts (physical), enter data details and reconcile accordingly

**PURCHASING**
- Support the productive relationships with suppliers, ensuring accurate inventory counts are maintained, orders are planned with advance notice, etc.
- Monitor inventory using manual and computerized inventory systems - maintaining inventory, orders, and supply tracking.
- Process and manage all purchase orders
- Manage inventory of packaging, labels, and shipping materials.
- Compile inventory reports - type, value and quantity for materials, equipment and availability.
- Receive and document all purchase invoices, forms, records, etc. - to ensure all relevant data is recorded.

**CLIENT RELATIONS**
- Exhibit a welcoming, team building presence when participating in meetings with clients, harvesters/fishers, office staff, employees, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; willingness to have direct conversations when needed.
- Highly organized, ability to manage multiple projects and a meticulous attention to details.
- Dependable, self-motivated, takes initiative, all with a strong work ethic to deliver on quality.
- Valid driver’s license (mileage reimbursement for travel, when required)
- Previous experience with Logistics, Cost Analysis, and Production Operations is a strong asset, but not required.
- Assist in preparing materials and the facility for client visits/meetings

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
