The Sales Representative is responsible for managing the sales portfolio in the assigned market and territory to achieve sales targets. Analyzes local market opportunities, develops working plans and develops and maintains key industry and customer contacts to achieve revenue goals
Duties & Responsibilities
- Development of sales campaigns, ensure territory sales targets are achieved
- Co-ordinating and performing customer detailing, presentations, trade show support
- Contributing to preparation of sales forecasts, providing regular reporting and analysis of actual against planned activity
- Developing target lists, setting territory goals, and identifying potential target markets or new product opportunities to increase sales.
- Performing personal selling with existing accounts and targeting new business.
- Properly servicing national accounts assigned by Head Office.
- Developing role as trusted advisor to current / new / potential clients.
- Communicating sales and advertising programs to dealers, distributors and clients.
- Analyzing sales statistics and advising clients of potential methods to improve sales.

Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Post-secondary education in a business, sales or marketing program
- 5 years to 11 years of progressive sales experience
- Strong customer focus with the ability to coach others for exceptional customer service orientation.
- Ability to build long-term relationships and credibility with the customer as well as internal support functions
- Exceptional verbal and written communicate skills with the ability to complete effective presentations
- Strong project and time management skills to meet deadlines under
- Results-oriented, self-starter and highly motivated
- Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online inventory systems, sales management systems.
- Experience within in the automotive battery, manufacturing, automotive or industrial sectors an asset
