We are looking for a knowledgeable and dependable Quality Control Technician to work for an 8-month contract in Edmonton, AB. This position is primarily responsible for testing concrete at the plant and job sites to ensure product quality.
This position is an 8-month contract with the possibility of extension.

**Responsibilities**:
- Complete concrete quality tests such as temperature, air, and slump.
- Monitoring pours and working with customers to ensure product meets specifications.
- Evaluating material properties for use in concrete production.
- Interacting with project and site managers regarding concrete specifications.
- Optimizing concrete mixtures by adding appropriate admixtures and products.
- Provide technical knowledge, service, and support to customers.
- Liaison with plant and suppliers regarding product quality.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Must be capable of completing physical tasks of up to 50lbs in weight
- Preferred civil engineering technology diploma or related education
- Preferred experience with materials testing of concrete, asphalt, soil, etc.
**Hours of Work**:
Regular work schedule will be Monday - Saturday. Hours of work will vary.
