**Opportunity**:
As a Quality Control Lead, you will be overseeing the Quality of work performed to ensure that it is done in accordance with the design drawings, Inspection and testing plans (ITP), and applicable design and construction standards and specifications. You will also be able to gain valuable field-experience by participating in the construction process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage daily quality control tasks related to road construction and other civil works (subgrade prep, basework, drainage, etc.)
- Conduct routine quality checks and audits to ensure work is being completed as per design drawings and within design tolerances.
- Implement and manage Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP) for each applicable scope to guarantee successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Schedule and directly coordinate compaction testing and other material testing with engineering consultants and interpret results for compliance.
- Assist project manager and superintendent with other project-related tasks as required. Tasks may include general manual labour, spotting dump trucks, flagging, site clean-up, or operating equipment.
- Central point of contact for all quality related issues and submittals.
- Upload material test results and other submittals as required into ACONEX and ParADIM online portals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve project-specific quality concerns.
- Ensure all quality control documentation is kept up to date and available for review during internal and external audits.
- Identify any deficiencies or discrepancies during construction to address deviations from design drawings, specifications, or applicable design and construction standards.
- Assist project manager and superintendent with conducting final quality checks and CCC/FAC inspections.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of construction industry experience. Previous work experience as a project coordinator or quality control technician would be preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering (T.T or E.I.T.), would be considered an asset.
- General knowledge of construction industry including equipment, reading and interpreting design drawings and specifications, road construction, basework, drainage, surveying, and quality control.
- Ability to foresee potential issues with quality control during construction and create mitigation strategies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.

Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
