**POSITION TITLE**:
Quality Control Lead

**REPORTS TO**:
General Manager

**DIRECT REPORTS**:

- Quality Control Specialist

**PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY**:

- Provide direction, leadership, technical support, and overall drive for success to the Quality Control department.
- Manage and audit the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management system and support WHC improvement initiatives.
- Inspect customer and WHC components to the required specifications with optimal efficiency.

**KEY POSITION FUNCTIONS**:

- Monitor the performance of Quality Control personnel and act when required.
- Assist Production Coordinator to prioritize the workflow of the Quality Control department.
- Interface with other departments to ensure production schedules are achieved.
- Responsible for calibration activities and associated record maintenance of inspection devices.
- Identify and initiate quality concerns found during manufacturing process.
- Gather, monitor, and report on non-conformance data and trends.
- Liaison with Management on concerns identified by non-conformance data.
- Ensure that non-conformance reports are processed in compliance to procedures in a timely manner.
- Provide training to Quality Control personnel to ensure maximum productivity.
- Ensure compliance with customer and company standards and specifications.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and reporting anomalies.
- Perform inspections across all stages of production through visual and dimensional examinations, if required.
- Generate non-conformance documentation, return products for rework, and re-examine for acceptance.
- Identify areas for quality control improvements and implement new methods accordingly.
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns to all relevant personnel with urgency.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following WHC policies and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Perform other duties as required.

**QUALIFICATION &**

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years machine shop inspection experience, or equivalent
- 2 years supervisory experience in a QC environment
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification
- Working knowledge of typical manufacturing and NDE processes
- Must be willing to work shift work (day/night)
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Assets
- Post-secondary technical education (diploma, certification, etc.)
- CMM or FARO Arm experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

**Salary**: $33.00-$37.00 per hour
