**AREA SUPERVISOR, FRANCHISE OPERATIONS** (This is a 1-year contract position.) Join Team Bento and be a part of our group of companies which operates more than 5600 locations globally. With operations across Canada and United States, Bento brings together a dynamic team of people with diverse backgrounds, experience, and talent, to create an exceptional guest experience. **Location**: **Responsibilities** The Area Supervisor is responsible for managing Sushi Bars in their assigned region which includes regular travel to Oshawa, Peterborough, Kingston and Ottawa. This includes developing, supervising, and coaching sub-contractors to ensure the highest levels of product quality and guest service standards are achieved. - Responsible for the overall day-to-day management and operations of assigned locations including people management, food safety, guest services, sales and food quality. - Accountable for recruiting, training, development and motivating sub-contractors. - Regular store visits and monitoring of kiosks to ensure they are compliant with Bento regulatory requirements including quality assurance and food safety, health and safety standards and ensuring all required corrective action is taken promptly. - Build and maintain strong customer relationships with store management and third party auditors. - Execution of new store openings and implementing new product/program roll outs. - Ensure that the production plans are regularly amended to maximize profitability for each location through a combination of sales optimization and waste control. - Ensure Daily Production Reports, checklists and reports are completed accurately for operational matters. - Monthly Quality Assurance and Bento Compliance Audits. - Additional duties as assigned. **Qualifications** - Minimum 1 year of food service management experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment. - Previous experience in the Sushi industry is preferable. - Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced environment. - Ability to travel within an assigned region and with a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs. - Have strong communication skills in both oral and written English. - Must be self-motivated and guest focused oriented. - Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and deal with stressful situations. **Why you should join our team**: - Power of Collaboration: Live our core values - "Own it", "Care about it", "Make it exceptional", and "Win together" - as we work together to create better food for everyone, the Japanese way. - Competitive Rewards: Reap the benefits of a comprehensive compensation package with car allowance, gas card for business travel, a bonus plan, group health benefits, and retirement plans that recognize your outstanding contribution. - Ignite Your Potential: Fuel your growth with extensive training and opportunities for career advancement, empowering you to unleash your full potential. - Champion Diversity and Inclusion: We proudly celebrate and champion employment equity, diversity, and inclusion through our Affinity Committee, ensuring that every voice is empowered and heard. - Lead the Sustainability Revolution: As part of our commitment to ESG, our Sustainability Committee drives our environmental initiatives and champions sustainable practices.
