Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Fund Intern will be primarily focused on supporting the senior investment team with fundraising and investment research, data analysis, and market research. The role is a great opportunity to understand the nuances of seed stage investing in a VC firm and fundraising market dynamics.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research.
- Build financial models and perform a variety of quantitative, data-intensive analyses.
- Maintain relevant internal databases.
- Develop effective research and monitoring tools.
- Participate in the development of work processes and update the required information.
- Set up and update internal performance dashboards.
- Support the investment team in developing documentation for fund operationalization.
- Support the preparation and organization of the various exchanges and meetings with partners.
- Support the team in the day-to-day management of fundraising and portfolio building.
- Update marketing materials and assist with investor relations.
- Contribute to miscellaneous special projects as needed.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting with excellent academic credentials.
- CPA, MBA, CFA completed or in progress is considered an asset.
- Relevant experience in private equity/venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or another related field is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and technology.
- Knowledge of IT tools and databases used in the financial markets.
- Highly developed analytical capability with proficiency in financial modeling.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a collegial, team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.

Sous la responsabilité de l'associé directeur, la/le stagiaire sera principalement chargé-e d'aider l'équipe de gestion en investissement dans la recherche de commanditaires et d’opportunités d'investissements, l'analyse de données et les études de marché. Ce rôle est une excellente occasion d'apprendre et de comprendre les nuances de l'investissement en phase de démarrage dans une firme de capital de risque et la dynamique du marché du financement des fonds.

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS
- Effectuer des recherches sur l'industrie, le marché et les entreprises.
- Construire les modèles financiers et effectuer une variété d'analyses quantitatives et qualitatives.
- Participer à l’évaluation des analyses préliminaires.
- Tenir à jour les bases de données internes pertinentes.
- Développer des outils de recherche et de suivi efficaces.
- Participer à l'élaboration des processus de travail et mettre à jour les informations requises.
- Mettre en place et actualiser les tableaux de bord internes de performance.
- Soutenir l'équipe d'investissement dans l'élaboration de la documentation pour l'opérationnalisation du fonds.
- Soutenir la préparation et l'organisation des différents échanges et rencontres avec les associés.
- Soutenir l'équipe dans la gestion quotidienne de la levée de fonds et de la constitution du portefeuille.
- Mettre à jour le matériel de marketing et aider aux relations avec les investisseurs.
- Contribuer à divers projets spéciaux selon les besoins.

COMPÉTENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS
- Diplôme de premier cycle en finance ou en comptabilité avec d'excellents résultats académiques.
- CPA, MBA, CFA terminé ou en cours est considéré comme un atout.
- Une expérience pertinente dans le domaine du capital d’investissement, du financement, de la consultation ou d'un autre domaine connexe est considérée comme un atout.
- Intérêt avéré pour l'entrepreneuriat et la technologie.
- Connaissance des outils informatiques et des bases de données utilisés sur les marchés financiers.
- Capacité d'analyse très développée, avec des compétences en modélisation financière.
- Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et capacité à travailler dans un environnement collaboratif.
- Solides compétences en matière de communication orale et écrite, tant en anglais qu'en français.
