**About the Role**

The Vice President within the Fund Operations team reports directly to the Senior Vice President responsible for Fund Operations. The Vice President of Fund Operations is primarily responsible for the relationship management of and accurate and timely delivery of reporting to clients of Maples Fund Services (“MFS”). Primary responsibilities include:

- Review of fund documents and structure charts to ensure operational understanding;
- Preparing and processing transactional and financial reports;
- Manage client relationships and be accountable for the quality of the operations and deliverables;
- Keep abreast of emerging industry trends and maintain regular contact with peers, both internal and external to the firm, including professional organisations (e.g. other accounting and law firms);
- Assistance with the continuous development and monitoring of MFS policies and procedures for ensuring reduction of risk and improvement in accuracy and efficiency workflows;
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of operational and business risks as they relate to the Maples Group and its clients, and how to manage these risks by thorough knowledge of MFS policies and procedures;
- Exhibit a strong understanding of and uphold the Maples brand; and
- Active participation in ad-hoc projects, requests for information and/or support, completion of reporting, etc., as required.

**What You Bring**
- 5+ years relevant work experience within the financial services industry;
- A professional accounting designation (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) as well as a background in financial statement audit would be highly beneficial;
- Demonstrable attention to detail, analytical skills and problem solving skills that are necessary when utilising financial data and preparing associated reports;
- Highly capable and confident user of Excel;
- The ability to work well under pressure against tight deadlines;
- A proven ability to manage relationships across local and remote teams;
- Experience of working within a firm with a global footprint and be able to work with a number of jurisdictions simultaneously;
- A working knowledge of fund administration operational processes including cash flows, portfolio accounting, fee calculations and investor servicing;
- Strong understanding of closed-ended private asset funds, as well as experience with open-ended hedge funds; and
- A working knowledge of FIS Investran would be advantageous.
