**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Duties**:
An exciting opportunity is available as Manager, Contract Administration in the Contract
Management Division of Capital Construction, Project Delivery.

This role is based at the BC Hydro Edmonds office in Burnaby, BC and reports to the Contract
Management Division Manager in Capital Construction, Project Delivery. Capital Construction is
responsible for managing a capital project contract portfolio of $2B, across more than 1500
contracts. This role leads a team of unionized Service Contracts Administrators, working within
Supply Chain Application to administer contracts for Project Delivery (PD) projects, Site C and
some Program & Contract Management (PCM) projects.

The team supports various stakeholders in the administration of Purchase Requisitions, Contract
Change Control, and Service Entry Sheets.

Leadership:
Leads, motivates, and inspires a team of unionized Service Contract Administrators who provide
centralized contract administration support for capital projects.

Develops and executes resource plans to ensure the team meets the needs of the business, while
leading hiring, training and development, and managing performance.

As a key member of the management team, participates in determining business direction and is
responsible for managerial and operational decision-making.

Contract Administration:
Provides expert-level knowledge of Supply Chain Application (SAP) to their team and to
stakeholders.

Fulfills the “Supply Chain Approver” role in Supply Chain Application (SAP) through the review

and approval of contract amendments to ensure compliance with procurement and contract
management practices.

Collaboration / Relationship Management:
Collaborates with internal stakeholders in PD, Site C, PCM, Supply Chain, Finance and Human
Resources to resolve business and contract administration system challenges.

Continuous Improvement:
Establishes and manages performance expectations, including the development of new
performance metrics.

Develops new procedures and processes to improve the contract administration practice.

Day to day responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to, chairing meetings with stakeholders, reviewing productivity reports
of team, investigating contractual and system issues, coaching and mentoring staff, adjusting
contract portfolios to address constraints, identifying business process improvements, and
ensuring deliverables are complete.

**Qualifications**:
**- Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, resource management, and
employee engagement.
- 3-5 years progressive experience leading a team. Experience with supervising unionized staff
and knowledge of union collective agreements is an asset.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Supply Chain Application (SAP). Experience in supply
chain and/or contract management practices is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, supply chain management, or
equivalent. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Partial or full completion of one or more professional designations (ex. PMP, SCMP, IACCM) is
an asset.
- Strong organizational, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in leading the development of new processes and procedures, including change
management.
- Enthusiastic, self-directed and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**

A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain the following requirements in good
standing:
Driver's License Type = Class 5
