Talent Engagement Partner

**LOCATION**: St. Albert, AB; Calgary, AB; Surrey, BC (position will be based in our Colas Western Canada Inc. head office in St. Albert, or in one of our regional subsidiaries)
**STRUCTURE**: Potential for hybrid work model (2 days remote work/week)
**REPORTING TO**: Human Resources Director, Colas Western Canada Inc. (Direct) and Talent Director (Matrix)

Position Summary

As Talent Engagement Partner you will play a key role in developing the strategy for talent engagement and acquisition for Colas Western Canada Inc. Collaborating with local subsidiary HR teams, you will develop strategies for industry partnerships and talent acquisition solutions that help support the achievement of the business group workforce planning strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with local HR teams and management to create talent engagement and acquisitions strategies for Colas Western Canada Inc.
- Lead partnerships with secondary, post-secondary institutions and local networks for talent engagement and acquisition opportunities
- Support companies in developing workforce planning strategies for key positions
- Assist in the implementation and evaluation of talent engagement (attraction, acquisitions and retention) initiatives for key positions in Colas Western Canada Inc.
- Develop and implement talent engagement strategies that align with DE&I initiatives
- Working with local business units to create DE&I recruitment strategies that meet local needs and markets
- Foster positive and collaborative relationships with local agencies to further DE&I initiatives and partnerships
- Works closely with the Colas Western Canada HR Teams to evaluate and support the needs of the business and create tools and resources to increase leadership, team and individual effectiveness in talent.
- Supports the Director, and other key stakeholders to explore and implement future enhancements to talent engagement and acquisition initiatives and programs
- Works with Colas (Canada and Global) talent acquisition teams to develop and implement talent acquisition processes, tools, resources and training
- Working with the Employee Experience Manager and HRIS director to manage HR technology including HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors), recruitment sites, and social media platforms in-line with organizational strategies to enhance talent acquisition strategies and to promote engagement and the company brand.
- Manage full life-cycle salaried recruitment for key positions at Colas Western Canada Inc.
- Create strategic talent engagement plans for local markets and Colas Western Canada Inc., collaborating with global, national and local teams
- Be a strategic representative for Colas Western Canada on global (Colas SA) and national (Colas Canada) talent engagement and acquisition projects
- Successfully build and maintain relationships throughout varying levels and functions within an organization to build a strong network both internal and external to better enable best practice sharing of talent engagement and acquisition.
- Evaluate talent engagement and acquisitions practices on an ongoing basis and continuously improve our methods. Monitor metrics and recommend corrective measures to address gaps.
- Work with the HR Director, Employee Experience Manager and local HR teams to build the Western Canada brand, use social media to improve organization attractiveness to highlight opportunities and build networks to ensure a pipeline of talent is always available.
What you Bring
- Post-secondary degree and/or diploma in Human Resources or Business
- 3 - 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a high volume but team-based service culture
- Preferable experience in an entrepreneurial construction industry, and where service was provided to all levels
- dealing with front line staff through to senior management
- Proven ability to take initiative and champion a project from conception through implementation and evaluation.
- Understanding and experience working as a partner to the business
- Experience building an integrated recruitment system
