**Location and Reporting Structure**

Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor, this position is based in Edmonton, Canada.

**Responsibilities**
- Purchase goods, materials, components, and services ensuring they meet specified quality and delivery targets;
- Prioritize purchase requests according to project requirements to ensure timely procurement;
- Source appropriate suppliers using various methods and analyze quotes based on quality, price, freight mode, and delivery time;
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best deals for the company. Prepare and raise purchase orders, ensuring completeness and accuracy;
- Process purchase orders and revisions promptly, monitor open orders, expedite overdue orders, and ensure timely delivery and compliance with purchase terms;
- Act as an intermediary between suppliers, end users, and other relevant departments. Communicate purchase order status to end users and senior management;
- Validate and reconcile shipping and payment documents, resolve billing issues, and maintain tracking and reporting systems. Provide quarterly analysis on costs and propose cost reduction activities. Support ERP system implementation and other improvement initiatives; and
- Adhere to B2Gold Nunavut’s Health and Safety standards, Company policies, and department rules and procedures.

**Desired Competencies and Requirements**
- Five (5) years of purchasing, expediting, contracts and/or procurement with at least 2 years experience as a Buyer in mining (preferred), oil & gas, construction, or heavy industry required;
- Post-secondary diploma or higher in procurement, supply chain, business, commerce, or related required. Possession of SCMP or equivalent Supply Chain professional qualification or studying towards it is an asset;
- Parts technician certification is an asset;
- Excellent vendor communication skills, strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines and receiving critical orders on time; and
- Strong experience with SAP or any other ERP systems and the ability to support system implementation and improvement initiatives.

**Compensation and Benefits**

The starting annual salary for this role is $100,000.00.

B2Gold Nunavut offers a competitive compensation package, including salary commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills, plus a group benefits package for employees and their dependents.
