**About The Role**

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer is accountable for providing intermediate level operational procurement work and delivering effective supply chain solutions to the business, including bid winning and project delivery teams. The incumbent improves performance and reduces cost and business risk significantly, delivers a better value supply chain by embedding category strategies into projects, and focuses on the needs of internal and external customers. The incumbent manages the supply of goods and services across business units.

**As a Buyer at Graham, you will**:

- Support the Supply Chain Manager and/or Senior Buyer in delivering objectives and initiatives.
- Handle supply chain management activity within business units.
- Support the supply chain solution for bid winning in business units.
- Participate in strategic projects as necessary.
- Ensure that the supply chain is safe, sustainable, and appropriately accredited.
- Support the production of the project procurement strategy and schedule.
- Prepare and support the placement of subcontract (subcontract is not in all business units) and material supply orders.
- Draft and issue contractual documentation where required.
- Achieve targets set by the Supply Chain Manager.
- Monitor supply chain delivery against procurement schedule.
- Comply with all business supply chain strategies, processes, and procedures.
- Work closely with category management colleagues and cross-functional teams to implement agreements across the business.
- Work closely with stakeholders and category managers to understand customer requirements and implement the most appropriate supply chain and category solutions.
- Promote Graham Supply Chain capability to customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Conduct and support subcontract and supply pre-let meetings and negotiations.
- Focus on effective communication and relationship building with internal and external customers and suppliers.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or another technical field
- Pursuit of SCMA / CIPS qualification is an asset
- 3-7 years of experience in supply chain management
- Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset
- Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight and demanding deadlines
- Proficiency using a computer and Microsoft Office
