Thomas Solutions has been in business for many, many years. Our biggest contract is ArcelorMittal Dofasco. We lease pick-up trucks, supply manpower services, and cartage to other businesses in the Hamilton area.

**Responsibilities For A Dispatcher**:

- Working closely with management and drivers
- Direct the pickup and delivery activities of drivers
- Assist locating accurate directions for pickup and delivery services for new locations
- Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles to appropriate locations according to requests, specifications, or needs
- Track shipments from pickup through delivery for accurate, up-to-date information can be provided regarding any shipment
- Excessive communication skills
- 5:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday
- Organizing manpower and cartage drivers onto specific vehicles
- Problem solving and solutions thinking
- Willing to help others if needed and Willing to take on new tasks
- Usage of company phone for on-call phone calls after hours
- Acknowledge walk-in customers immediately upon their arrival
- Booking service appointment(s) for existing customers
- Service customers with the utmost professionalism and make a special effort to ensure that every visit/phone call is an enjoyable experience
- Advise customers regarding their service decisions by gaining a comprehensive understanding of their symptoms or requirements
- Rectify customer complaints/concerns in a courteous and professional manner
- Keep shop Manager informed of any problems regarding shop or customer matters
- Prepare and relay work orders,
- Conduct follow up calls with clients/customers on quotes issued and services performed
- Advising clients/customers and shop on vehicle maintenance schedules
- Record accurately renewal dates of service (e-tests, safeties, plates, etc.)
- Maintain history logs (accurately track data as required by specific departments)
- Preparing/providing service and product quotes (as required)
- Communicate/Coordinate with other dispatchers
- Coordinate/Communicate with Parts Manager
- Maintain **Thomas Solutions Code** of Conduct, Health and Safety Standards and ethics
- Ensure top-level customer service with professionalism and responsiveness at all times
- Assist/lead in annual sticker renewal on all Thomas Solutions units

**Skills and Qualification**:

- Proficiency in English reading and writing
- High school diploma or GED required
- Logistics collage degree preferred
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and or TMW
- Safety orientated with our keep trucking program and monthly equipment schedules
- Very organized, with excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service/communication skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Can work under pressure
- Previous dispatching experience
- Previous industrial experience
- Experience with maintaining accurate documentation
- Outstanding customer service skills with a passion for helping others
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
