**Job Summary**:
The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for providing oversight, leadership and accountability for strategic and tactical activities related to the Demand Planning department and staff.
The Demand Planning Manager develops and drives Factors Group’s unconstrained demand volume and financial forecast while providing supporting key performance indicators (KPIs). This position owns the demand planning process and integration into the company’s sales and operations planning (S&OP) practice. The Demand Planning Manager performs all duties while taking into consideration the company’s commitment to our seven core values such as Sustainability (people, planet, and profit) in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for providing unconstrained demand plans that reflect team’s best estimate of future outlook
- Collaborate with Demand Planners, Sales, Marketing and New Product Development teams to continuously improve forecast metrics
- Set up and maintain new product process: forecast review, Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) rationalization and product lifecycle management
- Work with function leaders across the company in developing business plans, supporting company and group initiatives, assisting with change management, tracking KPIs and monitoring the implementation of business plans to ensure executed consistently
- Communicate with various departments regarding promotions, finished goods requirements and reporting for management, including analysis on past promotional history to determine impact on sales forecast
- Review financial and performance data with management to achieve budgeted results
- Effectively negotiate and communicate cross-functionally to exceed objectives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in process, people and systems within scope
- Research, analyze and ensure successful implementation of best practices across functional areas
- Adhere to a culture of professionalism, operational excellence and drive for results
- Exemplify the company’s core values, and provides positive leadership, direction and support to Demand Planning team
- Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
Technical
- Completion of a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Certifications in the forecasting, demanding planning function, such as IBF Certified Forecaster
- Industrial Engineer or other similar engineering background
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in demand planning
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing staff, either directly or indirectly
- Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry with a cGMP environment
- Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Demand Processes
- Expert-level experience with Microsoft Excel and Access, demonstrated ability in logic functions, pivot tables and complex formulas
- Working knowledge of and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and SharePoint
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
