Position Summary
The Project Development and Implementation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely execution of goals, objectives, and tasks related to housing and infrastructure initiatives for First Nations in Manitoba. Reporting to the Housing and Infrastructure Transfer Initiative Manager, this role involves strategic planning, work plan management, and project monitoring to achieve positive outcomes. The coordinator will work closely with the project team to meet milestones, draft options and recommendations, and ensure the smooth progression of activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and structure the planning and scheduling of various projects, initiatives, and tasks within the housing and infrastructure sectors.
- Monitor project processes and benchmarks, providing regular updates to the Manager and project staff to ensure timely progress.
- Maintain and update work plans, task lists, and benchmarks as directed by management.
- Collaborate with colleagues and offer support to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Assist in developing high-level documentation, including strategies, discussion, and position papers.
- Maintain an understanding of housing and infrastructure issues specific to First Nations.
- Adhere to office policies and procedures and confidentiality agreements; and
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate or Bachelor’s/Graduate degree in Social Science, Education, Communications, or related fields.
- Strong time management and resource management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Knowledge of First Nation’s policies and political issues in Housing and Infrastructure would be an asset.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to follow office procedures, practices, and confidentiality.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and
- Adhere to AMC policies and procedures with specific attention to attendance and professional
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Clear Child Abuse Checks.
