Dulex is seeking a Construction Safety Officer to join our team in Port Moody, BC. The starting date for this position is est. to be between Apr 15th-June 15th.
The Construction Safety Officer will work closely with the Managers and Site Superintendent to monitor the site-specific safety plan, address any concerns and implement solutions in alignment with Dulex’s standard of safety.
**Job Responsibilities include**:
- Implementing compliance with WSBC safe working procedures.
- Promoting a culture of job site safety and ensuring safety is everyone's responsibility.
- Conducting regular site safety inspections and enforcing preventative measures.
- Providing health, safety and environmental orientations to new workers and visitors.
- Administering First Aid to injured workers and recording and investigating incidents.
- Supporting injured workers through the assignment of modified duties.
- Preparing project safety documentation, including safe work procedures and hazard assessments.
- Providing training and awareness to workers on safety processes.
- Evaluating and monitoring health and safety hazards while developing strategies to control risks on the job site.
**Qualifications & Knowledge**:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential multifamily construction safety.
- Possession of a valid Level-2 or Level-3 Occupational First Aid certificate.
- NCSO (or similar) designation.
- Thorough understanding of WSBC OH&S regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations in a professional manner.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
