Reporting to the Operations Manager, we are looking for a dynamic and well-experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager who will roll up their sleeves to help lead and improve warehouse on-the-floor activities.
**SHIFT REQUIREMENT**:
The regular hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm, however, flexibility is required to accommodate business needs.
**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Managing the daily activities and increasing the efficiencies of the warehouse team in inventory, quality control, order picking, loading, shorts, and shipping.
- Coordinating the daily planning and execution of warehouse activities across multiple shifts with supervisors
- Leading team meetings with employees to review objectives, service levels, quality concerns, productivity, and allocation of duties
- Developing the leadership abilities of supervisors and skills of staff
- Regularly reviewing work progress and communicating frequently with the team to ensure collaboration, direction, and resolution.
- Ensuring accuracy and completion of daily and weekly HACCP checklists.
- Taking direction and guidance from the Operations Manager and regularly updating them on department activities.

**QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE**:

- Min 3 years' previous leadership experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, direct and train 30-50 staff as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English).
- Good understanding of logistics and Warehouse Management Systems (SBT)
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products, mainly Excel.
- Ability to safely bend, twist and lift to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.

**REQUIRED (will be provided by Islands West if needed)**:

- Forklift and pallet jack certification
