We are searching for a Quality and Risk Specialist to join our Quality and Performance team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

Develop, review, measure, monitor and analyze performance measures and indicators, and implement evidence-based change to improve indicator alignment with Quality Standards.
Lead Quality Improvement initiatives to improve the resident experience, resident safety, organizational performance and mitigate risk.
Implement standard practices for managing and improving quality in our homes while providing support to ensure operational practices are maintained and align with risk management standards
Manage resident safety initiatives which include the incident review process, safety audits, policies and procedures; includes analyzing trends and implementing evidence-based approaches to improvement.
Manage the training programs related to Lean Six Sigma, Quality Improvement Plans; acting as advisor to colleagues on QI and quality management practices.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability as well as a passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care;
**You bring**:
Undergraduate degree in a health-related discipline or related discipline with experience in a healthcare setting
1-3 years of quality and resident/patient safety experience in a health care setting

With the following considered an asset;
Masters in Health Administration, Public Health, Industrial Engineering or Health Informatics, considered an asset.
Training/certification in Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Experience in program evaluation
Designation with Canadian Patient Safety Institute, or other comparable organization (IHI, CPPS, CPHQ)
High Reliability Organization (HRO) practices and tactics experience
