**Function**:
The Quality Control Manager, AOPS is responsible for the quality control function in new construction. The Quality Control Manager leads a team of Quality Control Lead Inspectors, Engineers, Scheduling / Records Specialists, and Inspectors. In addition to ensuring build/repair standards and practices adhere to rules and regulations, the Quality Control Manager will develop inspection programs to identify risk to the business at the earliest opportunity, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sets priorities for QC team to ensure performance targets are met
- Liaise with Class and Customer to address emerging issues and concerns
- Monitor ITP to ensure inspections and tests required to meet milestones are completed and properly documented
- Develop and maintain QC checkpoints to align with business needs and trends to identify risk at earliest opportunity
- Liaise with production and other internal stakeholders to communicate quality findings and lead actions to rectify

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**
- Experience Required: 5+ years working in Quality Control
- Strong knowledge of ISO compliance standards
- Ability to manage through teamwork and influence direct and non-direct reports
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

**Education Required**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia
