**Hours Of Work**: 40hours per week (8h/day, Monday to Friday).
This role is overtime eligible. Full-time hours,

**Shift**: Shift 3 (11:30pm to 7:30am)
Shift 3 premium is $0.85/hr added on to base hourly pay

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Assistant operators are operators in training. Their focus is moving more towards the operation of the machine and away from the bagging & winder operational requirements. But this does not mean that the assistant operator will not pack when needed for breaks, training and other reasons. Assistant operators should work with their operator and maintenance personnel to learn more about the machine and how to do simple repairs and preventative maintenance. Assistant operators are just as responsible as the operator for producing quality materials efficiently, so they must take an active role in the day-to-day operations.

Prepare station for production processes
Assist in the manufacturing of products, and on the machine lines with respect to operation feed, speed and temperature.
Assist the Operator in safe and efficient storage of finished products.
Perform and accurately record all quality checks following plant procedures for storing and dispositioning of any material.
Ensure the machine is running at standard and the correct amount of repro is being used
Lead changeovers, including cylinders and front-to-back valve adjustments.
Complete machine start-up and shutdown procedures
Actively involvement in maintaining and controlling the co-extrusion process
Accurately record all production information and enter production/down time/screp into the Data pass
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned

**QUALFICATIONS**:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
Good computer skills (MS Office - Excel, Word, SAP)
Strong English communication skills (listening, speaking, writing, reading)
Positive attitude.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Must have a good work ethic and be reliable
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
Must be a team player and be able to work collaboratively with fellow employees.
Must also be able to take direction from the Lead Hand as well as Management.
