We have an immediate opening for **Assistant** **Press Operators** at our Brampton Extrusion Plant.

**Position Overview**:
As an Assistant Press Operator in the aluminum extrusion manufacturing industry, you play a critical role in facilitating the production of high-quality aluminum products by assisting in the operation and maintenance of press machines. Your duties encompass various tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of machinery, adherence to quality standards, and contribution to overall productivity.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assist Press Operators with the set up and operation press machines to produce high-quality products
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
- Ability to breakdown dies and operate the die oven/understand the impact of temperature on dies
- Load and unload materials onto the press machine using a hoist
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Understand tooling stack and die configurations
- Ability to identify different sizes, length, and alloys of billets
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform routine maintenance on the press machine to keep it in optimal condition

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Experience operating press machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Knowledge of EPICS and Road Runner an _asset_
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with the machine
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets

**Schedule**:

- 12 hour shifts
- Rotational (2 weeks on days, and 2 weeks on nights)
- Continental (2 days on, 2 days off, & every other weekend)
