**Job Summary**

As a part of our Lift Lead team, you are responsible for overseeing the safe loading, unloading of all passengers; as well ensuring every guest has a valid ticket. A Lift Leads top priority is the safe and efficient operation of lifts, reporting to your Supervisor when needed. You are a front-line staff member, problem solving and providing excellent customer service to create a Fantastic Family Fun experience.

**Job Specifications**
- Wage: based on experience
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time - Working between 8-10 hours/day. Weekends and Holidays
- Skill Level - Experience required

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the Lift Operators, in the day-to-day operations
- Assist and lead Lift operators in the daily setup, operation, and tear down of each lift
- Ensure consistency between lifts, and lift operators on a day-to-day basis
- Co-ordinate and plan breaks plan for lift operators
- Identify and notify appropriate persons of any problems found on lifts
- Adhere to Operational Manual, for the safe and consistent, daily setup, operation, and tear down of every lift.
- Assist in the Scheduling of all Lift Operators, Parking attendants, and Tube Park attendants for all daily operations, at the direction of the Lift Operations Supervisor
- Operate company equipment safely and as per company policies and procedures
- Maintain records of operations as per related codes, legislation, and company policy
- Ensure work area(s) are safe and clean, report any damage, malfunction, or misuse of any company equipment and/or property
- Ensure radio protocols are followed as per company policy.
- Assist in emergency situations
- Assist in the training of lift operator personnel pre-season, and mid-season as required
- Practice safe work procedures
- Maintain a professional and respectable appearance
- Other duties may be assigned as needed

**Job Requirements**
- Previous lift operations experience is a requisite
- Must be able to make quick decisions/use considerable judgement regarding safety as well as multitask and anticipate issues
- Strong and independent leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder
- Must be physically capable of assisting guests while loading lifts, monitoring the unloading of lifts, shoveling snow, grooming load/unload ramps and assisting with lift maintenance; may lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able stand outside in a mountain environment for long periods of time
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be able to handle high guest volumes in a professional manner
- Must be willing to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of assigned area, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends
- Strong customer service and clear communication skills
- Must be adaptable, have problem solving skills, and be a team player across all departments
- Family Oriented Resort so working with large groups, families of all ages is required
- Stress Management, Patient, and have great Time Management Skills
- Cross Department Support and Snow Removal is required from all positions at SMR
